Why Sherry Lee?

I began my flute making career at the age of 16, soldering flute keys with my mother in the basement of our home. Then, working closely with my step father, Mr. Emerson DeFord, I was able to learn all aspects of flute making. As a foreman at the Emerson Flute Company, I spent several years teaching others the craft. I fine-tuned my skills, first working for Jonathon Landell, then the Haynes Flute Company, building professional hand-made flutes from gold, silver and other precious metals. In 1990, I opened my own repair and sales shop in Colorado, “Sherry’s Flute Repair”. I feel comfortable working with all age and brands of flutes. I am Straubinger Certified and hold a certificate in building professional hand-made flutes. My repair prices are competitive. I guarantee my work and I am recommended by internationally known flutists like Alexa Still and Patricia George.
